Ted & Kerry Doyle are the owners of Ophnbark Schipperkes, Ophnbark Dog Training and Ophnbark Dog Products. We have been involved with dogs for most of our lives and have been involved with dog training for many years with Ted having been an instructor at several obedience clubs as well as running our own classes.
We met at an obedience club when Ted was instructing and Kerry training her dogs. From there things progressed and we married with four of our then dogs being involved in the wedding ceremony.
We share our home with nine Schipperkes, each having their own distinct personalities and training styles. The Schipperkes are an endless source of entertainment and fun and we would not be without them.
We are involved with obedience trialling one of our dogs, one loves agility and is about to learn some herding as well as tracking, three are currently learning obedience work and may also go on to participate in agility and tracking as well as participating in the conformation ring. We pride ourselves on the behaviour of our dogs, they can be taken anywhere and don't let us down. They especially love children and are very tolerant of them even when the children do get boisterous.
We started making our own dog biscuits when Tanga could not tolerate any of the commercial varieties we had tried. We decided that we had to produce an all natural product containing no wheat, dairy products or eggs and with no artificial colourings, flavourings or preservatives. Our biscuits also needed to be low in fat and contain no added salt or sugar. Ophnbark Barkerz Bitez were born and the dogs loved them!
